Lock Component ID

Is there a way to lock a component ID after it has been generated? If not, this would be a very valuable feature. On most jobs, devices have a very different Component ID requirement. It would be nice to be able to protect items' ID from being inadvertently being updated when changing others.

Workarounds if the tool doesn’t support locking – many users export/record the component ID mapping before bulk Escape Road 2 changes, then reapply it afterwards, or use scripting/constraints to enforce rules.

Based on your previous queries about Attract-Mode settings (first and third options in the configuration menu) and Sprunked the context of the Attract-Mode Support Forum document, it seems you're referring to Attract-Mode, the emulator frontend, and asking about a "Lock Component ID" in its settings or configuration.

Items can be locked/unlocked in projects. Of course, this locks all fields but might help.
