We would find Alternate Vendors within D-tools to be very helpful too!
There isn't always availability with the primary vendor (whether it's out of stock or the lead time doesn't work the the project timeline).

Every product should have a list of vendors to order from, with their own pricing. There may be a preferred for each product (such as we almost always order from vendor X to get preferential treatment, or rebates for volume). But still need to know where else to get it.

Yes, please! It is such a pain to have to track secondary/alternate vendors on a spreadsheet outside of D-Tools. But then additionally to have to search all of the pricing, when it could just be in the D-Tools catalog. This would be amazing!

Yes, as the wording of "primary" vendor is very misleading... as it is actually THE ONLY vendor. Pricing shall be maintained as vendor specific. Historical data when extracted or collected for reports should have the ability to be combined into a total count or remain per vendor.
When creating PO's, the drop down selections possibilities:
- "Create PO based on best price", generated based the best price for any vendor on file.
- "Create PO's based on project selected vendors". When Po's need to be sent to partners that may have brought the sales opportunity.
