The new checklist feature is nice. I would love to have the ability to incorporate checklists in to service order reports. Customers could then sign off on the service order acknowledging that (some or all of) the specific checklist items were completed. Similar to how projects have tasks that can be signed off on.

Jim Yadon - In v20 you can integrate checklists into Task and Service Order reports in SI. On Mobile Install checklists created in SI can be edited in Mobile Install and synced back to SI. We are working on more improvements to checklists in v21.

Checklists needs an overhaul all together so all the tools on dtools actually work together rather than independently

Matt Rogers: Agreed, we actually struggle with checklists because they can't be edited in the field and they are buggy, and dont always save especially if we have a few people working on the same task. We need a dynamic punch list, so we have just made a shared spreadsheet and added the hyperlink to the task. The problem with that tho, is now people can say the task is done but there are still open punch list items.

Nicole Niles: we are quite new to d-tools and we have found there are a lot of great features in it but it always seems like the feature was added but then not integrated with other things. They all seem quite independent.
Or it goes 90% of the way there and stops. Like having checklists auto added to a project when a certain status hits.
Having negative values in a checklist that works of the project end date so we know 30 days before project completion we need to submit drawings and that pull through to the Gannt view for planning which is quite common in project planning tools.
