Item character limit when syncing to QuickBooks

Right now there is a 30 (31) character limit in the Item Format for each field when syncing to QuickBooks. For example, right now we have some Models that are longer than 30 characters and it is cutting off the model when syncing. You end up with a partial model, which get's confusing on the QuickBooks side.

I completely understand the frustration with the 30-character limit when syncing items to QuickBooks. It's so important to have clear and complete model names to avoid confusion. This situation reminds me of how I once played block breaker and found it tricky to navigate when the levels were too short. Hopefully, there will be a solution soon to accommodate longer item names!

Thanks for highlighting this character limit issue! For those of us managing game data and content, like detailed player stats in simulation games such as retro bowl game, having seamless synchronization with QuickBooks would be incredibly useful. If D-Tools can adapt to QuickBooks’ character limit differences, it could streamline management for creative projects or even sports simulation content.

Jack Piehn - Are you using QuickBooks Online. QuickBooks Desktop has a 30 character limits for Items. For QuickBooks Online these seem to be 100. I think SI uses the QB desktop limits even in QUickBooks Online. Can you confirm if you are using QuickBooks Online?

Naresh Nichani - Thanks for the response! We are using QuickBooks Online. I was told that the limit applied to Online as well, but that could have been a miscommuinication.
