Mass Update Manufacture in Catalog Bug

When you attempt to mass parts in the catalog it only takes 1 part fail the entire job. This is painful. Take the following Example.
I have 100 parts are with the manufacturer name of Crestron. I need to change them to Crestron Electronics. I highlight the 100 parts and attempt to mass update. 1 Part in the list already exists in the catalog so it would create a duplicate part. The mass update fails at this point.
The mass update should complete for all parts that can be changed and then a pop up listing those that would create a duplicate. This way I am left with an easy list of items to correct.

John- While I agree this is a bug, I would suggest that you don't actually want to mass update manufacturers as it disassociates them from their usage in projects. You are far better off cloning the part and changing the manufacturer in the new part, discontinuing and unapproving the old MFG part, and setting an alternate relationship between the two. This way, when you try to order the effected items from a project, they flag as Discontinued, and offer the alternate (came part, correct MFG) as the substitution. What sucks is that, until they give us the ability to move the accounting record between the two, you end up with two accounting records for the same item. I have addressed this with one of my other requests which you can find by searching DJM.
Alternatively, the projects could refer back to the catalog by GUID rather than Key so one could actually bulk update the manufacturer without disassociating the catalog item from the projects...
