Please don't notify end users of updates

Constantly nagging non-admin users about version upgrades doesn't help anyone, and causes logistics and planning issues.
For enterprise scale customers we should be able to switch this off, and only notify Admins, or staff we choose. I've just finished project managing updates to all our reports and processes for Si13, and the last thing I need is every single one of our 120 staff who use D-Tools, reminding me every day that Si14 has been released.
We also need time to run training and education for our staff. This alert is very unhelpful.

Email updates for server/client updates would be great. I don't log in to D-Tools on a regular basis and would likely miss an update.

Hi,
OK done this will be a silent message always unless you click "Check for Updates". Thanks for the great feedback. This will be part of next v14 client update and will only update v14 server updates.

We will do admin users only as part of our next update.

Naresh Nichani: could this be delivered as a static non-blocking notice to admins rather than a blocking popup? I know we used to get notices across the top of the home page rather than a blocking popup.

Cody Frisch: <- has a great idea. Most of the I already know about the updates with all of the email correspondence advertising it. One more thing to click in order to get into the can get tiresome.
Naresh Nichani: Thank you guys for being so receptive.

I used to field these request all day long. At least give an option for user level to give app update notices or not. There are some employees I would want to know that are not Admins.

Agree, we should get these only as admin users. The last thing I need is some sales person upgrading then all heck breaking loose.
