Predecessor References Do Not Update When a Task is Deleted
I
Isaiah Franco
When deleting a task in the Schedule view, the Predecessor references on subsequent tasks do not update to reflect the new task numbering. Instead, they remain locked to the old row number, which causes them to point to the wrong task.
For example (see screenshot):
-Task 57 was deleted.
-Subsequent tasks still show a predecessor of “57SS,” which now incorrectly points to a different task.
Expected Behavior:
Predecessor values should automatically update when a task is deleted so that they remain linked to the correct task, not just the row number.
Impact:
This causes scheduling inaccuracies, broken dependencies, and confusion when managing project timelines.
