App/Module: D-Tools Mobile Install & SI Desktop Integration
Problem/Current Behavior: When a technician updates a job status in the Mobile Install app, the change does not automatically sync to the SI Desktop Calendar. An office user must manually click "Update From > Mobile Install" to pull the new status. This delay prevents real-time visibility and breaks automated workflows.
Proposed Solution: Status changes made in the Mobile Install app should be pushed to the SI Desktop platform in real-time, triggering an automatic update without any manual intervention required from office staff.
Benefit: This will ensure that office staff have immediate visibility of field progress. More importantly, it will allow automated workflows (e.g., sending an "In Transit" email notification to the customer) to trigger instantly when a technician updates their status, improving operational efficiency and customer communication.
