Gantt Chart Predecessors don't update when rows are added

I noticed when I went through and set all predecessors on my gantt that some tasks were missing and I needed to add several tasks throughout the gantt. What I found however is that when a task is added in the middle of the chart, the predecessors that are below the new task do not update/increment to account for the new task so adding a task in the middle of the chart invalidated all predecessors below it. Huge bug.

You're correct—this is a known limitation. In most Gantt chart tools, when you insert a task in the middle, row numbers shift but predecessor references (which are often based on static row numbers or IDs Doodle Baseball) do not automatically update. As a result, dependencies can break or point to the wrong tasks. To avoid this, use task IDs or unique identifiers for dependencies if supported, rather than relying on row numbers.
